Collaborating with a Hot Chocolate Maker
You would think it’s nothing but sweet! Bella has known Maury Rubin since he opened his venture, City Bakery, more then 35 years ago. In fact, City Bakery was one of our first weekly floral customers. Maury has an incredible talent; he created the best pastries ever. It just made sense to host our friend and long time supporter for his Hot Chocolate Pop-Up with his newest creation, the Color of Chocolate. And what better time to launch this collab than Valentines Day 2026, which falls on a Saturday to boot! But what to bake? And where to place his sweets at the studio?
We had several meetings beforehand to get all our visions synced, or at least expressed. Really the possibilities were endless, but the bottom line was that there should be chocolate and flowers. Dates were chosen, February 11th-14th. We chose language to describe the collaboration, fit to be enticing, and eloquent. Packaging ideas, and logistics galore. Of course there had to be a taste test along with the marketing photos that needed to be taken. So yes, all said and done, it really was nothing but sweet!

The nation’s greatest tasting hot chocolate will be served to keep away the chill of winter. A feast for your tastebuds and a feast for your eyes as you peruse fresh flowers, fragrant and beautiful, with hot chocolate in hand.

We also have on offer a limited edition pairing for your valentine - an arrangement with a delicious, special selection of baked goods and truffles. The collaboration comes in two sizes, a tiny gesture in a bud vase or a little floral gesture in a small glass vase. And of course the chocolates.
